Upcoming Meetings & Events
The COCC Forestry Club strives to build teamwork skills, learn about forestry issues, and support fellow forestry students. Regularly scheduled meetings are open to all students, not just those in the Forestry program.
Every other year, the Club hosts the High School Skills Contest on the grounds at COCC. In conjunction with the Associated Oregon Forestry Clubs, high school students are invited to participate in a two day event that is designed to promote success and mastery in Technical Skills, Leadership Skills, Team Building Skills and Positive Image Development.
The most recent Skills Contest was held in May, 2005. Check out the articles in the Bend Bulletin and photos to see what you missed. The next Skills Contests will be held at COCC in May, 2007. Other club events during the school year include firewood cuts, student conclaves and of course, pizza parties!
